Hi. I'm Danielle–a freelance graphic designer/photographer, co-founder of The Everygirl, and the blogger at Breakfast at Toast. And no, I am in no way affiliated with toast. I also follow a paleo diet and don't eat any grains. There's a toast in LA (where I'm from) and a Toast in Chicago (where I live), so I went with it. So...I was born and raised in Los Angeles, studied Sociology at UCSB, and decided that I needed a change. I packed my things and my sweet little rescue pup and I moved to Chicago in August, 2010. I spent my first two years in this little apartment downtown and moved to my new home in June, 2012 (home tour coming soon!).
I love interior design, blogging, CrossFit (started in May 2012), music, movies, and TV. I have more Christmas cheer than anyone I know. I have a thing for anything white, gold, and grey, and I love a little sparkle. I adopted my rescue pup Buddy in December, 2009. You can read that story here. And yes, I did name him after the Christmas elf. I shoot with a Canon 7D and my two favorite lenses are my 50mm f/1.4, 35mm f/1.4L + 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6. I work on a MacBook Pro and Thunderbolt Display. And yes, I have an iPhone and iPad, too. #stevejobsismyhero
Favorite TV shows include Homeland, Dexter, The Big C, Modern Family, New Girl, Mad Men, & old episodes of Friends & Arrested Development. Favorite movies include Something's Gotta Give, As Good As It Gets, The Royal Tenenbaums, While You Were Sleeping, Match Point, Lost in Translation, The Holiday, It's Complicated, anything by Woody Allen, Pretty Woman, When Harry Met Sally, and every single Christmas movie ever made. I can often be found listening to Oasis (I've loved them since I was 13), Mumford and Sons, Of Monsters and Men, Coldplay, Mayer, Maroon 5, and The Beatles.
